About Hyyver
Hyyver helps adults meet through a text-first introduction and, if both people choose to connect, a private chat. This notice explains the information we use, who can see it and how account deletion works.

Information we use
Account and profile: Google sign-in provides the account identifier and account information needed to sign you in. You provide your name, date of birth, gender and any optional gender identity, bio, interests, relationship intentions, preferences and photos. We use your birth date to check that you are at least 18 and calculate the age shown to others. Your full birth date is not shown in your peer profile.
Location: with your device permission, we request your location when you use matching to find people within your distance preference. Other people may see an approximate distance, not your precise coordinates.
Interactions: we store information needed for matching, introductions, likes, openers, connections, chat, blocks and photo-reveal choices. Your introduction shows the profile information presented there. A connected person sees your messages. Your photos become visible to them only after both of you choose to reveal them.
Safety and support: reports include the selected category, any note you provide and relevant interaction evidence. This may include the profile and opener as they appeared, accepted chat messages and photos that had been revealed and were still available at the time of the report. We also use information you send to support and records needed to enforce our community rules.
On your device: the app can store account-scoped confirmed state, photos, pending messages and an unfinished onboarding draft to recover from connection problems. Local data may remain on a disconnected device until it reconnects. Signing out or deleting your account initiates account-scoped cleanup on that device. Removing the app or clearing its storage removes its local copy.
How we use information
We use information to provide sign-in, profiles, matching, introductions, chat and photo reveal; maintain reliability and security; handle support requests and safety reports; enforce our rules; and meet applicable legal obligations. Profile choices and content may reveal sensitive information, so share only what you are comfortable providing.
Your choices and requests
You can update editable profile information and preferences, stop searching, end a connection, block or report a person and control whether your photos are revealed. You can withdraw a reveal choice before both people opt in. After mutual reveal, the recipient may already have seen or saved the photos.
You can delete your account from the Profile screen in Hyyver or request deletion by emailing [email protected]. Removing the app alone does not delete your account. You do not need to reinstall the app or sign in to make an email request.
For access, correction, deletion or another privacy request, email [email protected]. We may need to verify ownership proportionately before acting. Never send your password.
Retention and deletion
Account closure and physical data cleanup are separate steps. Deletion is irreversible: the account loses access to Hyyver, active interactions end and ordinary data is scheduled for removal. Creating another account does not restore the old account’s history.
Our email-request processing target is 30 calendar days from receipt. If ownership verification or another issue prevents completion, we will explain what is needed. Any shorter applicable legal deadline takes precedence. This processing target is separate from the cleanup periods below.
- An introduction that does not become a connection
- Eligible for cleanup 90 days after creation, once the interaction is no longer active.
- A connected introduction and chat
- Eligible for cleanup 90 days after the connection ends.
- A photo removed from your profile
- Eligible for cleanup 90 days after removal.
- Ordinary account and profile information
- While your account is active. Eligible for cleanup 90 days after account deletion, with earlier interaction and photo schedules still applying.
- Restricted safety cases and evidence
- Until review is complete. Eligible for cleanup 90 days after case closure, unless a specific legal obligation or authorized legal hold requires longer.
Cleanup runs in scheduled batches after information becomes eligible. Completion can take longer if processing fails, required evidence preservation is pending or an applicable retention exception prevents removal. These schedules describe cleanup eligibility, not a guarantee that every copy is physically erased by that date.
After a chat ends, the in-app past-interaction picker allows reports for 30 days and does not reopen the chat. A submitted report can retain necessary evidence under the separate safety-case schedule. Blocks and pair exclusions can remain while both original accounts are active; a deleted account’s restriction does not follow a new account.
Provider backups use a separate lifecycle. Account deletion cannot recall copies someone independently saved or immediately clear a disconnected peer’s device. Information subject to a necessary safety or legal retention exception is restricted to that purpose.
Security and adults only
We restrict access to private records and photos, use authenticated service requests and limit safety evidence to authorized review. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
Hyyver is for people aged 18 or older. If you believe someone under 18 is using it, report them in the app or email [email protected].
